The 160.2101 Pressure Balance valve with integrated 2-way diverter has a .5'' NPT male connection valve with two inputs for hot/cold water and two outputs. The valve has a flow rate of 5.5 GPM at 60 PSI. Supply Stops - There are two safety stops at each water inlet to prevent water flow in case of installation and repairs. Handle Operation - In the PBV1005A pressure balance valve, the volume and temperature of water is controlled by single handle, the lower handle. Lift the handle to control the volume and as the handle is moved between left and right, the temperature changes. Move it right for cold and left for hot water. The diverter handle on the top helps in directing the flow from the two outputs of the valve. With diverter handle pointing left, Position 1, the water flows through the lower output. With the diverter handle pointing right, Position 2, the top output is activated for water flow.This product has three positions as explained below: Top Handle - Position 1 - bottom port activeTop Handle - Position 2 - top port activeTop Handle - Position 0 - Water output in low transition mode flow divided between two outputs Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 5.43'' x 4.76'' inches which is properly covered by the trim plate. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall. Trims - The trim set for PBV1005A consists of a trim plate and handle knobs for both top and bottom cartridge. The trim plate has markings for HOT/COLD for bottom handle and 1/2/0 for diverter handle. Extension kits for both handles can be ordered separately in case the handles need to be extended for proper fit. Any 2100 or 2101 series trim can be used with this valve. Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles.
