The 160.2450 is a 1/2'' NPT connection valve and trim combo with two volume control handles separately for hot and cold water with single mixed output. Handle Operation - The volume and temperature of water is controlled by the two handles, HOT and COLD. As the valve is installed, care should be taken to maintain proper distance from the back of the valve to the surface of finished tile which should be between 2.39'' and 3.09''. Also, the valve must be installed horizontally and not at an angle. In case, a tile is thicker or wall is deep, extensions are used for elongating both handles of the valve to ensure proper setting of the trim. Extension kits which can be ordered separately in chrome, brushed nickel or other special finishes. Cut Out Dimensions - The cut out in wall should be 3 holes, 1.3 inches in diameter which will properly covered by the trim plates. This will ensure that the trim plate will cover the cut out hole in the wall. Trims - The trims comprise of well finished handle knobs, handle trims, cartridge covers and spout. Any trim ending in 2450 can be used with this valve. Depending upon the shower model, trims can be of different shape and size, varying from square to circular shower handles.
